Close to 800 professionals assisted the past 16th of June, to the 4th Symposium on Urban Clusters and Parks

The conference has become a reference for the debate about the model of urban clusters and parks in the knowledge economy.

The symposium was open by Mr. Richard Florida’s speech and continued with two round tables moderated by the main experts in urban clusters and scientific parks: Joan Bellavista, Past President of the International Association of Science Parks and Alberto Pezzi, President of The Competitiveness Institute. Well known personalities of both sectors that discussed about how they can get a better connection between urban clusters and scientific parks.

Mrs Tea Petrin, president of the European Cluster Policy Group and past Economy Minister of Slovenia, was the responsible of the closing session with the Clusters and Parks for excellence speech.

Inaugural conference: Richard Florida


Richard Florida, best-selling author of “The Rise of Creative Class” and “Who’s Your City?” and director of the Martin Prosperity Institute, is one of the most prestigious intellectuals in the world and will give the inaugural conference, entitled “Cities for Excellence”.

Science parks join the Symposium.

Science parks will participate for the first time in the 4th edition of the Symposium, sharing their views and adding new issues to the debate.
